Meditation and the Menopause

A mindfulness approach addressing your menopause symptoms.
This workshop explores our relationship to the menopause. Living through the menopause can be a great time of transition physically, emotionally and spiritually, however for many women it can be a real struggle. Our workshop aims to provide women support during this difficult time. We will introduce the use of mindfulness practices to help you be with your symptoms, rather than battling against them. Additionally we will also walk you through different meditations for the menopause you can practice to support and guide you through this troubling time. To find out more about our mindful menopause courses or to book onto one, get in touch with us today!

Mindfulness For Menopause

This is not a one size fits all approach to the menopause.

We will all have individual responses to the menopause, but this mindfulness for menopause workshop will give you an opportunity to share experiences with other people in the same situtation as you. Spend time with others who are on their own menopause journey and to gain new tools to support you as life continues to change  We cannot stop the change but we can change our relationship with it. Many women struggle with their relationship to the menopause, and a few may be ashamed or embarassed of their symptoms. Here at Mindfulness Unleashed, our meditation for menopause workshops are aimed at improving the way our participants feel about the menopause, particularly their mindset on it.

That's why we aim to make our mindfulness for menopause courses as safe a place as possible. Share or listen, it's your choice! This workshop will be guided by the experiences arising in the room, focusing on the needs of those attending. If you feel comfortable, share your experiences with the menopause in this safe space. Share your experiences and learn how mindfulness and meditation can support you through it. Then hear from other members about their experiences and the mindfulness tools they use to help them. Join us today to find out how mindfulness for menopause can help you and don't be afraid to get in touch with us if you have any questions about our workshops!

Gaynor's Story

After having not slept for over 3 years due night sweats, Gaynor quit working full time. She felt that she could no longer operate in a stressful environment or function in a responsible way because of the way the menopause was affecting her. On the basis of remembered advice from her Mum prior to her death, she avoided Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). Instead, she tried every natural and herbal option know to her friends or that she could find through her research, spending a small fortune on her quest!  Then she found mindful menopause pracitices, and started seeing how mindfulness and meditiation can help women going through the menopause. She practices all the mediations she will be sharing in the workshops and can say she now regularly has a good nights sleep!

"What a lovely morning, peaceful, calm and connected. I wasn’t sure how menopause and meditation practice work together. But I know now - beautifully. Thank you." Rachel

"I have found balance and I’m learning how to take care of myself" Angela

"The opportunity to engage with someone with such an established practice in a supportive space and the realisation that I’m doing okay!" Joanne

"It was helpful to connect with my body again and this is very important especially as I get caught up in my own drama, this seems even more heightened in menopause." Claire

"I've realisation that I don’t do enough of what I enjoy!" . Kathryn

"I found the Saturday morning session a beautiful and safe environment to explore this time of life.
The gentle relaxed pace of the morning was what I needed and enabled me to connect with myself and the other women in the room effectively.
The combination of sharing personal experiences/ thoughts with the Mindful practice was very helpful. Being able to sit outside for a while in the warmth connecting to the earth also helped to further nurture. Emma

Menopause for me feels like a really useful time to practice Mindfulness as I need to accept and welcome what is happening without judgement or fear feels like it will help me to work with the flow of what is happening rather than against it."
